Founder & CEO, Sheila Dianne Jackson has written and produced commercials and developed marketing and social impact strategies since 2006. She has also worked as a freelance development producer. An accomplished writer, author and historian, she has spent a decade reconstructing the story of black women in rock. Her work is an important political project of remembering and excavating the historical cultural impact of black women. Sheila is among historians included in the University of Washington's oral history archive of “Women Who Rock,” which explores how women have used music as a tool for activism.
Author of two historical biography collections for Scholastic, Sheila is a scholar on the Civil Rights and Harlem Renaissance eras. As a former Sunday columnist, features writer, and essayist, her work has appeared in ESSENCE magazine, the Feminist Press, and other publications. Sheila has a master’s degree in human behavior and is a graduate of Writer’s Bootcamp screenwriting program. She is a co-author in the new best-selling anthology Black Women Speak.
